Dr. Laura L. Bellaire
Fellowship Trained Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Laura L. Bellaire is a fellowship trained pediatric orthopaedic surgeon. She specializes in general pediatric orthopaedic care and pediatric spinal deformity. She is committed to getting to know her patients and their families so she can provide personalized operative and non-operative treatment options.
Dr. Bellaire received her undergraduate degree from Yale University where she was honored with Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude distinctions. She then attended medical school and orthopaedic surgery residency at Emory University in Atlanta, GA where she was awarded the James B. Whitehead Surgery Scholarship and two consecutive Kelly Society Excellence in Resident Research awards. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at the University of Utah. She worked as an attending surgeon at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI before returning to Salt Lake City to join the University of Utah Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2023.
Dr. Bellaire is currently engaged in multiple research studies surrounding waste reduction and medical sustainability. She is working towards a Master of Studies degree in sustainability leadership from Cambridge University. She has conducted research at institutions across the country in conjunction with the Pediatric Spine Study Group, and she is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. She is thrilled to join the faculty at the University of Utah and provide care to the region’s pediatric population.
